Close the night,not the week.

Finance is the last team to find out what a transaction cost and the first team asked to explain it. Ordr puts the effective rate, the downgrades and the dispute ratio in one place, and closes the event the night it happens.

Three numbers finance

None of these are exotic. They are ordinary consequences of payments being bought as part of another contract. And with the money spread across nine providers, no finance office has the bandwidth to monitor the overcharges, interchange padding, chargebacks and downgrades each one is getting away with. That is not a staffing problem. It is a structural consequence of running payments across nine vendors, and it is exactly what one platform ends.

01The effective rate is not the quoted rate

Interchange qualification and downgrades happen after the deal is signed and never appear on the rate card. US merchants paid a record $198.25 billion in card fees in 2025.

02The dispute threshold moved under you

Visa dropped the merchant excessive threshold from 220 to 150 basis points on 1 April 2026. Mastercard puts one chargeback at $82 internal plus $46 in fees before the lost goods.

03The close is a manual join

Separate merchant IDs, separate exports, separate definitions of a customer record. The reconciliation happens after the event, by hand, on partial keys.

Nilson Report figures, March 2026. Thresholds from the Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program fact sheet. Chargeback cost from Mastercard, updated June 2026.

One ledger.
One close.
One number to defend.

01

Rate visibility

Every transaction carries its own qualification story. Transact IQ shows where it downgraded, what that cost, and what the same volume should have qualified at.

  • Effective rate by merchant ID, continuous rather than monthly from an acquirer statement.
  • Downgrades flagged per transaction with the reason, not as an aggregate line.
  • Level 2 and Level 3 enrichment so qualification stops being something that happens to you.
  • Sells on its own. Transact IQ does not require you to move processing first.

02

Dispute exposure

The threshold tightened in April 2026 and the ratio is measured by count, not by value. A game night is exactly the shape of business that carries the most exposure.

  • Continuous ratio monitoring against the 150 basis point threshold, with alerting before the acquirer calls.
  • Fraud reports and chargebacks separated, because they are separate numerators.
  • Evidence assembled automatically so representment is not a per-case manual exercise.
  • The trap avoided. Declining more transactions shrinks the denominator without shrinking the numerator, which makes the ratio worse.

03

The close

Every channel settles into one ledger under your own merchant IDs. You stay merchant of record and the intelligence layer never sits in the funds path.

  • One settlement across gate, concessions, retail, premium, parking and box office.
  • You remain merchant of record. Funds land in your accounts, not in ours.
  • The Penguins got 80+ hours a month back after a dozen vendors were consolidated onto one platform.
  • Removable. Because the data layer is not in the funds path, it can be scoped or removed without a payments migration.

Merchant of record. Every time.

Funds settle from the acquirer directly into your own accounts under your own merchant identifiers. If removing the analytics would require re-tendering payments, the two paths were never really separate.
